Dream

Sitting by the lamp post in corner of the street,
Hearing her favorite song that she put on repeat,
Suddenly she was flying through the open skies,
Where she tasted freedom for the very first time.

It was very scary, yet she took that risk
She learnt to fly high without her wings,
She flew over London, over river Thames...
Walked in lanes of Paris, where the iron lady stared.
Then she went to LA, to see the hollywood sign
She was surprised to spot her name star shine.

Nothing around her was making any sense
Within blink of eye she reached Madison square
Thousands of eyes were staring at her, 
Millions of hands held up desperate for her touch
Within fraction of a second when she extended her hand
Everything became blurry and she was in her wonderland

Infinite stars were shining over her head
She was watching their glory while sleeping in her bed
Then the lighting stroke and rain began to pour
Waking her up as harsh chilly winds opened the door

She realized that she was still in the corner of the street
In same old the wrecked house where no one sees
It was just a fantasy, merely an illusion
She tossed and turned through the night waiting for the sun

And then she grasp the fact that she was scared of her dreams
But that was indeed right as you should dream that big
Then her melatonin kicked again, adrenaline surged through her veins. 
And she caught a wink
Surrounded by her thoughts this time
She made the point to cross the line and said to herself

"Pain of imagination, the bruises you feel
When you fall a hundred times, and you learn to heal
Terrify your fears, and learn to fight
Give what it takes and hold on tight
Gather your courage and take a simple leap
Cause true dreams are those that won't let you sleep..."
