The Last One
The Last One
Alone I wander on this planet of dust,
With my heart feeling heavy and cold.
The emptiness lingers and follows me like a shadow,
With my spirit feeling weary and old.
The desolate landscape stretches far and wide,
With no one to hear my voice or share my sorrow.
The silence is deafening, I’m the only one left in sight,
Don’t know if I’d be breathing by tomorrow.
I’m the lone survivor,
The only one left to bear this weight.
My emotions are tangled; I am alive but empty,
In the darkness I can no longer wait.
The world is dead and I’m the last one,
I’ve been left here all alone.
I should’ve gone with the rest,
But I couldn’t move with these broken bones.
I long for days that have now passed,
Wishing they could come back but they’re gone.
My loneliness is a heavy burden to bear,
But I must keep my strength and go on.
