Deep From A Broken Heart

It is better to have loved and lost,

Rather than not having loved at all.

Nothing can be more surreal,

The pains and agony last for eternity;

Sweet memories are but small consolation.

It was a breezy evening that you strolled in,

Into the inner corner of my heart.

You came close and made promises of getting closer,

Each heartbeat of mine got hitched to you,

And dreams got intertwined;

Life felt so charming.

But Good times did not last long,

You made a quick U turn.

Distance grew longer,

Sharing became rarer,

Till it dawned painfully;

Relationship had reached a dead end.

Do not know if there will ever be a dawn,

After the long dark nights and blind alleys.
