Daydream
Daydream
Let me daydream like my child
One moment going to the humungous space
Another, meeting his grandparents far away
How a fraction of a second becomes a child’s play!
A doorway to my latent desires
Giving me a momentary bliss
Making the mundane tolerable
I let my dreams overpower me!
Fantasies I see, give me wings
Clipped in reality, making me droop and wail
I can ride on my dreams, free and wild,
Travelling to places unknown and meeting strangers!
Like a feather I become light
As I talk and laugh on my own
To escape from the bromidic I often take this route
Refuelling me with new and fresh hacks!
A boring Sisyphus I don’t want to become
My bitter-sweet reveries, thus, propel me
With its prismatic refraction of colours
From the banal everyday life!
