Solicitude & Compassion

Solicitude & Compassion

They're themselves ruthless and they'll call you unreasonable,

Care for them nonetheless

You'll do great deeds and they'll accuse you of malice,

Be good to them nevertheless.

They'll destroy what you built for years and say it was a waste

Build their homes regardless.

You'll do your best and yet they will reject you again

Do your best and you'll attain success.

Even if you solve all of their woes,

They'll still consider you their foes,

But these efforts will never go down the drain,

And you'll not live a life in vain,

Look, God's watching your benevolence even when they give you pain.

He said "In the years gone, compassion is the best virtue I saw,

So emphasize empathy even to the inhumane, and I would gaze you with awe."

"I say turn your agony and misery into kindness all above,

Never forget, there's no sweeter way to heal than with love."
