Changes

From smaller ones,

To bigger ones,

From the dazzling daylight,

To the modish moonlight,

The change changed our lives

From the the deep blue sea,

To the vast desserts,

From the high mountain peaks,

To low lying plains,

The change changed our lives

It brought to us emotions unknown,

But took away the known,

It brought new feelings,

But erased the old,

It brought to us different happiness,

But snatched away the similar one,

The change changed our lives

It taught us lessons not known,

But didn't test our wits,

It sang a melodious song,

But never with the same melody,

It danced a graceful dance,

But never with the same rhythm

The change changed our lives

The nostalgia stopped bringing happiness and excitement,

But started bringing anxiety,

The success stopped bringing joy and hope,

But started bringing fear,

The failure stopped bringing inspiration and motivation,

But brought an uncertainty of the future,

The change changed our lives

The change was sudden,

As it was supposed to be,

It was abrupt,

Like it was meant to be,

It was difficult,

Like it ever prepared us,

The change changed us

The change changed us,

It brought new dreams,

And different fears,

New emotions,

And different memories,

New adventures,

And different thrills,

It brought changes,

Good and bad,

For the better and the best,

For the worse and the worst,

It changed us, our lives and our surroundings,

Our beginnings and our end,

The change changed our lives
