 death   flowers   beautiful   roses   smell   wilt 

He gave me a dozen red roses

  I placed them in a vase


That was a while ago

Now they're wilted


Rustic red instead of ruby

Yet the smell is quite sweet


The smell of honey

Drawn to them so-- as a bee.


Life is beautiful, death can be too

A dozen red roses-- lay me down on those

That bloom.
