AN EXPRESSION OF MIND

      

 While I move on the road with my bike

I feel something odd on my side,

While I roam with a mood of active spirit

My sexagenerian age does not permit.

After retirement while I want to caress my grand children at my home,

Their curiosity puzzles me to to explore the evergreen stories of my infancy told by mom.

Whenever I want to refresh my mind amid the

Encircling chaotic gloom by playing HMV,

I find myself bewildered by the sound of

The foreign orchestra played by my grandson.

When I feel exhausted with the modern pomp and grandeur I memorise the nostalgic dawn.

While in the urban atmosphere something becomes odd due to amalgamation,

I give solace to myself always by making soliloquy " Have patience, life is full of adjustment and you try to stay alone.

Modernity gives me pleasure materially but

Put aside the nostalgiac sweet memory which I have been seeking for in my dream,

In spite of living in the present day still I am

Able to harvest the past evergreen cream.

Playing and listening to the sweet melodious

Songs of my old HMV gramophone at home,

I forget every odds and bitter feelings and again I find myself in a juvenile revival zone.
