AUTUMNAL GLAZE
โ
Autumnal leaves fall gently from the trees,
Twinkling stars wink at the moon on high.
Soft floating clouds drift across the night sky,
While a hooting owl stares at flying bats nearby.
โGranny sits on a carpet under the clear autumn sky,
Bathed in the glow of the bright full moon beams.
She begins her story as the children gather round,
Falling asleep to her gentle fairy-tale dreams.
โGrandpa leans back in his armchair, smoking his hookah,
Sipping his tea while listening close to the tale.
Yet his frequent interruptions disturb the young kids,
Who wish for the bedtime story to prevail.
โMom serves dinner on mats laid out in the open,
As the Durga Puja pandal glows with bright lights.
Puppets, drums, and bugles charm the rural folks,
Bringing joy and magic to the festival nights.
โBoth vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes,
Delight the villagers with flavors so refined.
This autumnal radiance is a true, sweet elixir,
A soothing comfort for all of humankind.
โCome, my fellow citizens, leave the town park behind,
Gather together on the open village meadow today.
Let us enjoy the rich autumn essence in full swing,
Forgetting our worries as we celebrate and play.
โMay we reunite each autumn with joy in our hearts,
Be bound together as long as our breath remains!
