On toothless lips, bright giggles play,

The elders' smiles light up today,

Surrounded by their grandbabies,

They sip warm coffee, quite at ease.

With simple vegetarian treats,

They joyfully sit down to eat;

The daughter-in-law, with loving care,

Tucks paan into their mouths right there.

The grandchildren cheer with happy noise,

"Happy First of October!" sing girls and boys;

"Come grandmas and grandpas, gather near,

Let's sit at home and Radio-Pala ( Musical Narrative Theatre ) hear!"
