A Mother!

       

A mother is born along with her first born,

She learns to feed her baby and take care,

She is there for her baby all the time,

Her clock revolves around her baby from now on!

She is there to teach her baby to roll over and sit up,

To bathe, to clean, to dress, to feed and to play,

Never ending stories at bedtime there,

Father too is ready to help out in whatever way he can! 

School days start and then homework time,

Everyday study time and learning goes on,

PTMs, Annual Days, Sports Days and what not,

By then the second baby arrives, sometimes the third too!

Same saga continues, but easier this time,

As the whole process is practiced so well,

The little one will need a little more care till sometime,

Soon everything will be in place with good company for the first born!

The mother is always there for her kids come what may,

She will love them as always even they have grown up,

College, jobs, marriage, settling down goes on, 

She is there to love and support them with their father in hand!

Ups and downs may be there in life,

She forgives, forgets, corrects, advises and moves on,

Her undying love only another mother will understand,

She is there for her children till her last breath and beyond!
