Uniqueness!

Each of us are unique in our own way,

We are shining actually through our imperfections,

None of us is fully perfect and that is okay,

The differences in us is the key to our uniqueness!

 

Let us understand this beauty in us,

Our differences in us let us accept,

This creates a ripple so smooth,

That moves and mingles to bind us together!

 

If all of us are the same in every way,

What is there to look for and celebrate,

It becomes mundane and uninteresting,

As I am and so are you the same!

 

We do have many resemblances or similarities,

That doesn’t mean we need to group up and trouble the other set,

We have to be mature enough to understand each other,

And respect the differences and similarities equally to live harmoniously!

 

When this is understood, there will be no more fights,

No more arguments and disagreements,

We can look at this as a blessing in disguise,

As the variety in us is spice and similarities the flavor in all our relations!

 

When the whole world we accept in this way,

Why not our own people of our land?

Even though we are all Indians, we know very well,

We are all different in more ways than one!

 

Be it language or religion or customs and traditions,

Our country is rich and known for all this,

Then why fight among ourselves for this very cause,

Let us know and enjoy our differences and be united always!

 

Not all of us are fighting I know, but there are some,

Who don’t accept the other, in the name of religion, language and so forth,

Everyone should be able to understand and follow our unity in diversity,

Only then, we can celebrate brotherhood accepting everyone!
