A Mother's Day Without You

A Mother's Day Without You

The day you left,
the world stood still,
 A silent heart,
 a sudden chill.
 No warning came,
no last goodbye,
Just endless echoes of my cry.
 You were my friend,
my guiding light,
The laughter that made the dark feel bright.
Now every dawn feels cold, untrue,
For life lost meaning without you.
I walk alone through broken years,
A son to raise, a soul of tears.
A father near, yet love feels gone,
Since the day my mother moved on.
But in my heart you breathe each day,
In whispered prayers, in things I say.
Though heaven holds you far above,
I’ll never stop sending my love.
 So on this Mother’s Day,
I write, A tribute born of endless night.
You were more than a mom to me
— You were my world, my melody.
