A Consolation In Desperation
A Consolation In Desperation
When I touched the earth
Something wrapped me by showering warmth
When struggling to open the eyes
An astounding kiss made them wet.
Though I was surrounded by contemplation, resentment and screaming
She clad me spreading her torn clothes
And clasped me by her shivering arms
And whispered near my ears "Daughter, don't worry."
Though the scorching summer was cruel
Though the torrential rain was so rude
Though the bone-chilling cold was hard
Still, nothing could vanquish her vow to make her daughter happy.
When success betrayed me and I was about to give up
Her teary eyes revealed her inner desire and infused hope to wage the battle
Her trembling hands taught me to work hard till success is not achieved
And ultimately success touched my feet.
Mom!
If god asks me about my desire
I will pray to him to make you immortal
You are my strength
You are my hope
You are my inspiration in desperation.
