Homework Time

"And the masked men entered the bank..."

This was the topic Tej was given from school as part of the English Language homework. Tej, 11 yr old boy in Chandigarh was wondering what to write. He suddenly remembered his parents telling him about a serial that used to come a few years back on Television.

"What was the name? What was the name?" kept thinking Tej. "Oh, why am I not able to recall the name." His parents had also shown him some episodes of the program on YouTube.

He remembered the character was something similar to Superman and Spiderman.

Anyway, he decided to ask his mother about it once she was busy with her work from a home office.

Later, in the evening, his mom reminded him of the same as "Shaktimaan". "Yes, yes, that's what it is," screamed Tej, and fully excited he decided to use that character in his story.

He went to do his homework wanting to finish the exciting storyline he had decided using the special character Shaktimaan.......

One day, I accompanied my dad to the Union Bank for some work my dad had there. We were wearing our masks and so was everybody around as it was the unique year of Corona. Actually, I went along as I had to get some stationery supplies for completing my project work, and the shop being adjacent to the bank, I trudged along with dad.

We first finished the stationary purchase and then went to the bank for the work.

As we were waiting for the paperwork to be completed, I dozed off on the chair. And then...

.... the masked men entered the bank...". Masks among masks...oh, they must also be people who have come to finish their bank work.

Surprisingly, one of them suddenly took out a small rifle he had kept hidden in his jacket pocket.

He threatened the bank cashier to hand over all the cash he had.

Everyone was frightened by this sudden turn of events.

I was wondering as to what was happening all around and why are people behaving scared. What can be the reason to get scared when the world has great people like Shaktimaan.

My dad tried to keep me quiet as I told him, "Papa, please call Shaktimaan. He'll surely come fast and fight the goons away." My dad was surprised by my suggestion and gave me a strange look.

I decided to call Shaktimaan to the rescue. I closed my eyes and fervently started praying and calling him. My parents had told me so many stories where if we wished for anything with full faith, it will work and bring a solution to us.

And lo, behold....there were a flash and Shaktimaan was right there in front of us.

Everyone around was shocked and surprised to see a caped person there. Shaktimaan used his immense superhuman power to fight over the masked men who were thiefs threatening.

Thus, he came and saved the bank and the people around. The police were called and the thieves' handed over.

Tej remembered his mother telling him that Shaktimaan worships God through the symbol Om. Helping people in trouble from people committing sin being his motto, Tej was sure he would come and help the bankers.

And here he came and used his different powers to separate his body into five different bodies of fire, air, water, earth, and space and also being a skilled and intelligent fighter. 

Tej ended his English homework and went to bed happily.
