The Divine Intervention

The universe is big, it is vast, complicated, and yet simple. Sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles. And that’s the theory. A miracle is a divine intervention that transcends what is normally perceived as natural law; and so, to say, it cannot be explained upon any natural basis. Miracles do happen every day, all day long. Miracles are the visible results of Divine intervention. Miracles are hard to get our heads around, but if we believe in God, it shouldn’t be too difficult to also believe in miracles.

Today's story is based on a true happening. It happened recently this year on the birthday of Lord Krishna known as Janmashtami. the story moves around the faith of a 66 yrs. an old lady living in Gurugram. She is a very caring and loving kind of person who is always ready to help the needy physically, emotionally or mentally. Sometimes she helped the needy with money also. She got retired just two months back and is spending her time looking after her house and her family. Her favourite passion was to try something new every now and then. Sometimes she is trying photography, gardening, meditation, sometimes making soaps, painting, writing stories, etc. Though she has a good family still she is leading a lonely journey. She lives in her own world of fascination and finds herself in the lap of nature enjoying its beauty. In short, she is a versatile woman.

The story moves around her as the miracle that she experienced on Janmashtami, changed her perspective on life. On that day she got up early, took bath, and got ready for doing prayers. As she could not visit any religious place or temple to offer her prayers due to the family’s pre-occupations. She was sad but tried herself away from this depression by watching YouTube reels of the temple’s live programs. She came across one reel of Shree Banke Bihari Temple’s reel wherein a lot of people were offing flowers and prasad to their loved one Laddu Gopalji. The Panditji distributed it, the scent to rub at the doorstep of Shree Banke Bihari Temple to the person standing in front of the God’s statue. Suddenly what happened to that old lady while watching the YouTube reel was that she started rubbing the doorstep of her God on the mobile screen only. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she forgot that she was watching the reel on her mobile only. She felt as if she was there and rubbing the step with the scent provided by the pandit Ji. The most shocking thing was now to come when she sensed the perfume of rose around her in her bed where she was resting and watching the video. As soon as she sensed the rose scent she was back to her senses and realized that it was a miracle only because she could smell the scent for two minutes and after that, it was not there. She asked one of the members of her family about the scent but the answer was no as expected. Now, she realized that God himself had created all this to fulfil her wish to offer her prayers to her God. This incident changed her perspective on life. She felt and realized that God listens to one’s prayer if it is done by heart with full faith and surrender of oneself.
