Falling All In You......

It was a bright morning of June when Celeste woke up and a ray of sunshine hit her face wishing her good morning. She woke up with a very bright smile on her face until she realized that it was already 10 and she was late for her work. She rushed into the bathroom and came out in less than 5 minutes. She came into her room for dressing up and realized that her entire wardrobe was on the floor. She picked up the same dress that she wore to a party last night. She looked in the mirror and thought to herself " I shouldn't have had drunk so much last night, now my head is hurting like hell!!". That is when the cab she booked started to the horn. She ran and sat in the cab. Celeste was a 23-year-old lady, who was very social and expressive. She worked for "Red velvet", a very well-known book publishing company in London as an editor. She sat down in the cab and suddenly started thinking about her life which she thought was a huge mess. She finally reached the office and started walking towards her cabin. Deric, her boss was already standing at her cabin waiting for her. She looked at him and told, " Good morning Deric". He shook his head and told "I want you in my office in 5 minutes". She was nervous because Deric was very particular about his employees. She went into his office and told “Sir, I can explain why I was late..." he interrupted "Alright, listen...”. He took out a hardcopy of a book that was pretty big and told "I don't know how you are going to do it, but I want you to finish reading this book and see if it can be published by us, and I want you to do it today." She was shocked. She said "An entire book? In a day? Are you serious Deric?". He smirked and told, " Don't waste your time and get started". She was very frustrated,while leaving she started murmuring " What does he even think of himself?". Deric smiled and told, “I can hear you, Celeste...". She rolled her eyes and left. She sat down with the book in her cabin and looked at the title which said "SPARKS: THE PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS". She liked the title. She opened the book and read the description which said: “HI, I am Ivan, this book is about the love of my life, Scarlet, whom I fell in love with at the first sight!" Celeste smiled and told "Love at first sight, interesting...". She continued reading and kept going. She couldn't believe that she finished reading the entire book in a day. She loved the book. She never believed in love until she read that book. She always wanted a perfect love story of her’s too. On her way back home, all she thought was how lucky Scarlet and Ivan were that they found each other. She was in love with the thought of being Scarlet. She wished she was Scarlet. She went home and when she was about to sleep she got a call from Deric. she picked up the call and told “I finished reading the book. It was amazing and yea we should definitely publish it." Deric interrupted her saying " Sorry honey, but we passed that book, we are not publishing it. Sorry for wasting your day. Sleep well". She felt kind of heartbroken. This was not the first time that a good book was passed over, but there was something very special about this book that she couldn't just let go. She couldn't sleep. She knew that nothing could be done, and she had to move on. Days passed by and turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Celeste got busy with her work.

Six months later......

It was a cold December Monday morning, when Celeste was working in her cabin. She got a call from her boss. She went into his office and asked, " You wanted to see me Deric?" He smiled and told " Come in dear." She was confused with his extremely kind behaviour. She went in. Deric handed her an envelope. She asked, "What is this boss?". He told "Go on, open it". She opened the envelope and saw a ticket which said, "Pass for the limited-edition book release of SPARKS: THE PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS". He told " Susan told me that you liked that book very much and you felt very bad when we passed that book, so this a small gift for you, go and buy your limited-edition copy." She smiled and screamed " You are the best boss ever!!". He told " Alright alright, Go now". She was extremely happy. She wanted to go and grab the book. The event was not until the weekend. She went home and carefully placed the ticket on the shelf. She sat down on the bed and started humming, “Havana oh nah nah, half of my heart is in Havana..." and suddenly realized that she didn't have anything good to wear for the event. So, she decided to go shopping the next day. She wanted to go to the new mall which was opened recently and was said to have the finest clothes in London. It was 6 in the evening, the mall was too far from her apartment, so she booked herself a sharing cab. She was waiting for the cab at a cab spot. It was very windy. The cab came. She saw that a man was already sitting. She couldn't see his face as he was wearing a hat. She sat down. She was trying to put on her seatbelt, but she couldn't as it was jammed. The man beside her leaned forward and helped her out with her seatbelt. She still couldn't see him. She told “Thank you.". He turned and took his hat off and smiled. She was struck by his smile. She started thinking “Oh my God!! He is beautiful! Such a beautiful smile!". She didn't say a word. She was thinking “Is this love at first sight? No, it can't be, think straight Celeste, love, at first sight, is only in stories but not in real life". She didn't realize that she was staring at him whilst thinking all that. He snapped his fingers and told " Are you alright?". His voice melted her heart. She turned her face away and told " Iam sorry... I actually, um.". He smiled and told " Iam Edward, nice to meet you". She told " Nice to meet you too". She was stuck on his face, especially his dimples, but then she thought she was acting creepy and turned away. She tried very hard not to stare at him, but what she didn't know that Edward couldn't stop staring at her and he felt the exact same way about her as she felt about him. It started snowing outside. She felt cold. Edward saw her shivering and told the driver "Can you turn off the AC please?". She smiled and told "Thank you". He loved her smile. Edward added " Can you turn on the Radio “? The driver turned on the radio and the song " Chasing Cars " was playing. Celeste and Edward were looking out the window smiling. They continued to steal looks from each other. It was cold, but his looks kept her warm. They loved this unknown feeling right then and wanted it to last forever. After some time, the cab stopped, and the driver said, " Ma'm this is your stop". Edward didn't want her to leave. She didn't want to leave either. They secretly developed feelings for each other. She knew she had to leave. She wanted him to talk to her. He wanted her to talk. She got down the cab. He said “But, you didn't tell me your name!?". She looked in his eyes and told "It's Celeste". The cab started off. She could feel his eyes fading off her. She started feeling cold again or maybe she started to miss his eyes. There, in the cab he couldn't stop thinking about her. He could still smell her perfume in the cab. The radio started playing "Thinking out loud", it went like- "Maybe, we found love right where we are...". He started feeling alone or maybe he started missing her smile. They both regretted not talking and wished they spoke to each other. Celeste finished her shopping and went back home. Edward went home too. They both couldn't sleep. They felt different or maybe they just felt loved.

Three days later...

It was the day. The day Celeste was waiting for. The day when her favourite book's limited copies were being launched. The event was at 5 in the evening. She took her pass and money and left. She reached the place. It was 4 then. She couldn't find anybody around. So, she went to the reception and asked, " When is the book launch"? The receptionist told, " Sorry mam, but the book launch is over, and all the books are sold"! Celeste was shocked. She said, " Iam an hour early, how can all the books be sold?' The receptionist answered, " Mam, we already informed all the ticket buyers about the change in timings, I can't help your mam, Iam sorry." Then Celeste realized that her boss booked her tickets and the message would be stuck in his endless inbox. She was very upset that she couldn't buy the book and blamed i her bad luck for this. So, she let it go. On her way back home, her phone pinged, and she got a notification that said, " Edward has sent you a Facebook friend request". She was amazed. She didn't know if it was the same dreamy-eyed Edward from the Cab. A part of her wished it was the same Edward . She went on his page and checked out and found that it was the same Edward. She started to blush. She accepted the request. She messaged him " Hey, how did you find me?'. He texted back quickly, as if he was counting on her message. He texted " I never lost you”. She fell hard. She blushed. They started texting. Both of them wanted to ask each other out but were too shy. But Edward didn't want to waste more time and texted " Are you free tomorrow night?". Her heart skipped a beat. She typed " Yes". He typed back " Wanna meet me for dinner tomorrow?". She screamed, "Yes Yes, of course, yessss!" She typed "Sure, why not?". He was blushing too. He realized that he could blush later and text back first, and he typed " Cool then, I will send you the address and the time. See you tomorrow". She couldn't stop smiling. Both didn't sleep that night. They kept re-reading their conversation and checked out each others pictures .They were lost.

The next day...

Celeste saw her phone. It was 11 in the morning. They had to meet at 6 in the evening. She didn't know what to wear. She finally decided to wear a red dress and thought to leave her hair open. She was killing time. It was 5 then, she got ready and looked beautiful in the red dress. She put some smoky eyeshadow and looked amazing. She started off to the location. She reached there. It was only 5: 30, she thought she was early, but Edward was already there. She could look at him sitting on their table waiting for her.He was wearing a red shirt and black pants. He was busy staring at the ceiling like he was thinking something. She liked his look. He looked at her and her heart started beating faster. She started walking towards him. He smiled. She was scared that she would trip on her high heels as couldn't focus, his smile was too intoxicating. He pulled her chair out and whispered, " You look great!". She smiled and told, " You too". They sat down and ate their dinner. They didn't speak much but their eyes did. After some time, Edward told " I brought something for you". Celeste smiled and asked, "What is it?". He gave her a gift paper wrapped box. She opened the wrap and after seeing the gift her heart flew off to him. It was the limited edition copy of the book "SPARKS: THE PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS". She screamed in joy "How did you know that I love this book?". He asked, "You already read this book"? She said "Yea, but not the edited version." He didn't understand. She asked, " Where did you get this book from, were you at the book launch?" Edward laughed and told " Celeste, I wrote this book". She screamed " What!!!! You wrote this book, are you kidding me?". He told " Of course not, see this, written by Edward Styles and that’s me". She completely fell in love with him. She told " You have no idea how much I love your book!" He asked," How did you read my book without buying it?" She laughed and told, " I work for Red velvet". He laughed and told " No don't explain, I got you". They both laughed. They had their dinner and he told her that he would drop her at her apartment in his car. They sat in his car. It was snowing outside. The seatbelt was jammed again. He said "Maybe this is destiny".She smiled and told "Maybe it is".He helped her out. He turned on the radio. The song "Perfect" was playing. They looked at each other and smiled. They reached her apartment. She got down. He told " This was the best dinner of my life". She smiled.He said " Hey wait,i got you something". He gave her a folded note and started the car. She opened the note. It was written, "I think you are the Scarlet to my Ivan......" She blushed in happiness and looked up. He was already smiling from the car. He winked and she rolled her eyes. They both smiled and that's how this love story began.........
