Shakthi's Perseverance

Shakthi knew her dreams had to hide if even had plans of pursuing them. The world that she lived in, wasn't supportive of women going to a different city for higher education.

Her endless struggles with her parents and constant taunts from neighbors were draining her already.

The gateway of her dreams was open for just few more days. She needs to apply to different colleges before time runs out.

And for all of the applications she needed her guardian's signatures and she was sure that her parent would never agree to signing them.

Luckily for her, she had one person who had faith in her, her uncle Shyam. Shyam chacha was her only hope. She didn't know how to approach him to sign her applications as her guardian. She was lost in thoughts of, "What if Chacha denied signing them?", "It is in Mumbai, totally new city, Chacha will never let me go alone...".

Hailing from Varanasi had not only made Shakthi believe in regional values but also strongly have faith in God for solving all her problems. She managed to convince Shyam chacha to sign her applications but she still was afraid to face her parents. She will have to move to Mumbai to pursue her higher education in B.Sc Mathematics. She didn't want to run away from home. She wanted to leave with her parents' blessings.

With just few days for her college to start, she is still yet to convince her parents to let her go and live her dreams.
