How to sustain poetic skill?

When something inside left still

I wonder how an old man can write so much

When ideas come and peter out before reaching to mind

 

But poet remains poet

He can’t remain same at

If nothing strikes mind

He must go deep and find

 

No, love topic gets no momentum

Age finds no wisdom in it

You need some speed

With feelings and need too

 

“Never mind” I told troubled mind

Look at someone and find

With what lines she looks at you?

If it is with hatred, you are almost through

 

I fired my mind

And told to rescind

Love is not for sale in market

You have to get with equal zeal

 

Never suggest

But let

Your fancy to fly toward

And put loving words.
