Unconditional Love
Unconditional Love
In the darkness
On a lunar eclipse day
As much as the moon
Tries to find its way
Your mind was always
Etched with my thoughts
Right from my childhood
Amidst the household chores
You ensured that you take care
As much as the Sun pierced
Through the passing dark clouds
And gave this earth
Enough of radiation
You remained still
Unmindful like a sun
When all the pains
Where surrounding
You like celestial bodies
And haunting you daily
But you remained
Undeterred, unmindful
Of the fact, that it could hurt you
Just to protect me
From all the evils
Surrounding you.
You did not bother
Who and where you are
You did not carry
An Iota of doubt
Between my nourishment
And your beauty
You forgot your wave
Of shame, for my cause
As soon as I landed on this earth
Hand in Hand
You made me sleep
On your lap
With my head high
Even though as I grew up
My head became heavy
Then the weight of your lap
I know it would have pained
A bit, but the pleasure of mine
Preceded your pain
In your mind
I know the pain
You underwent when
You lost your vision
Yet your hands were
Dexterous enough
To make me all the
Dishes which I cherished
Not even once
You expressed leave it for today
I sought from you
So many things
But your love to me
Was unconditional
Not sure If I am worth
To even describe you
Nor I have words enough
But the fragrance you
Have shed on me
To make me look
Attractive forever
Is unforgettable Mother
