Roses
Roses
The other day when you sat down beside me,
You smelled of the rose that was plucked and left on the street,
Abandoned by everyone.
Your eyes shed agony,
Your heart, stabbed by many,
You search for love,
And your hands reach mine.
You hold it for a few seconds,
I sit quietly looking at you when you mumble something in despair,
And suddenly you realize the touch which is not hers.
There's some sort of a story which your mind weaves,
And you don't want to be a part of it,
Is there even a choice?
Trapped in your own world,
You're dying each day,
Suffocating yourself for love which was unrequited.
You're not the same guy anymore,
The one whose liveliness inspired me,
To fall in love with my own self first.
I always thought that you were strong,
But deep within you were an empty soul,
Seeking for light in a dark hollow tunnel,
Which is never gonna lead you to your destination.
And here you're, faking it in every possible way,
Begg
ing for love, letting her take your dignity away.
Here's to the human who deserves so much more than he thinks he needs,
The fire, it's burning inside you,
Yet you lie here cold and numb,
Broken beyond repair,
Almost giving up every hope on love.
While all I do is sit and watch,
Letting it consume you,
All I do is wish if I could be a help,
If I could for maybe once let you scream your thoughts out,
If you could somehow wiggle out of your blues,
Turn around and look at how far you've come,
How worthy it was to hold on,
To not stop,
To keep movin' ahead even with a broken heart.
Love is not just about finding your own happy world to live,
Love is about creating one for the other,
So love them when they need it the most,
It's all about being the reason they smile,
Stay by their side,
Help them heal,
Spend your love,
And watch them grow,
Into roses again,
The perfect ones,
Peach in color,
Subtle and sane.
