Sloane's POV

"Don't Look at me I don't even remember who I had for breakfast."

"Who"

"I mean...well you know what I mean!"

Oh god, how did I get myself stuck here!

"Do you have any clue of the trail that might lead us back?"

"I told you I'm blank"

"I'm not going to keep my mind unplugged for both of us!!!"

The forest is as silent as the grave. The wind is howling making the dark seem more terrifying. I took one step forward and creak.

"It's the leaves, the leav-" I try to convince myself but I sense absence.

I move my hand around cutting the blanket of white mist. Shoot. He's gone.

Swish

The wind runs behind me runs whispering words of fear.

"Nora, Are you, Nora you here?"

Silence spoke back.

"I am n-not playing games g-get you bum h-here!" I stutter trying to sound stern.

Scream......Scream

I see vultures over my head dishing about today's dinner.

"Hey-" I was interrupted by a deep raspy voice.

"This flower, It's so pretty" He was holding a flower admiring it as a child. The lines of fear on his face were gone, Just a pleasant smile left.

"You bloody moron! How dare ya! I got so scared while you chased behind a Flower Dummy!!" I shrieked, but not out of rage, out of pure fear.

His brown eyes filled with honey of peace had turned cold and woody the moment I huffed completing my sentence

"Alone?"

"No, you are with me dumbo," I said

"What are you talking about? Since when did you start answering your own questions?" He sounded annoyed.

"Wait if you didn't ask the question, neither did I then-"

We turned around to find ice-coated eyes staring right through us. The mist prevented anything else from being seen, and the dark began to fall more in-depth.

He clutched my cold petite hand in his large warm ones, "Stay composed, We'll make it out of here." All I could feel was the warmth of his hand flowing like an electric current through my body, It was as if the cold didn't bother me anymore, it didn't sting like a thorn.

"On the count of three, 1...2......3 RUN!" He whispered and screamed, Somehow.

We dashed, piercing through the cold blanket, shattering all the twigs and leaves that paved our way. A torrent of water could now be heard. A torrent was also running in my heart. A rush I couldn't explain a hassle that couldn't be justified.

The potentially harmful thing is still behind us. I could listen to the whistling of his feet moving through.

There was a waterfall, foaming and frothing at the ends. The sound of water hitting the rocks and swamping the area nearby seemed to ease the pounding heart.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked after a halt

"Is it still behind us?"

"I think so."

The flower in his pocket glowed - bright blue, turning fluorescent orange and a pretty white at the end.

"I think it-" It gleamed at its finest blinding us and cutting through the noir. After a minute or two, we could finally open our eyes. Everything was still now. Motionless trees which were earlier swaying and dancing. The

static wind which earlier raced among the trees. And the Eyes- I turned on my heels to check if we had uninvited company. Nope. It was gone as well.

"This is our moment. Let's go "He grabbed my wrist and instantly looked up at me.

"My bad- um Sorry" He withdrew his hand and began scratching his neck. Well, it is fine to get butterflies in the middle of the woodland when you are a step close to death?

"I would be gladdened if you could keep your hands to yourself Thanks." Do I really want that though? Guess you'll never know. To terminate the tensed condition I marched past him going deeper into the lightless grave.

Nora's POV

She didn't glance my way. Not even once.

"Arghh" I heard a blood-curling scream from the way she went. I mindlessly ran chasing the screech. the thin layer of sweat covered my forehead eyes darted to find her. The adrenaline rush was furious. The breeze felt like was slicing right through me but I couldn't stop.

Reaching the epicentre of trouble I found her fighting with an unreal ghostly sort of thing. It had white fringes shooting from its body, and a cloud of smoke around. It had a terrifying grin and stone-like eyes. Just as the fear floating steam took out a knife to pierce Sloane into 2 halves, I rushed over to her and wrapped my hands around her body we both lay in dirt-covered earth under the shadow of the trees. I hesitantly opened one of my eyes and looked around for peril. Nothing. Slowly and carefully I detached my body from her and began to stand straight but my limbs didn't support enough. There was a shooting pain rushing through my body. The flower. It was glowing once again bright blue, turning fluorescent orange and a pretty white.

The girl kneeling in front of me looked everywhere but me. The lines of bewilderment ran all over her and her cheeks turned a pretty crimson.

"Here" A whisper came from behind me. Curious as I am, I tip-toed over to the berry bushes just to find a young woman with pretty white hair and a crown decorated over her pride-filled head. her eyes- a shade of monsoon.

"Love" She stated

"Excuse me what?"

"You seemed to send Enyo back into the forest, Sad and Suffering."

"Who?"

"The Wild Wood Destructor. Making that flower glow and protect is only achievable through a sense of selfless love being supplied." She took a pause.

"That girl seems to mean something to you"

I Glanced at Sloane.

"More than something."

She came over to us and it appears, she can't see the Forest preserver.

"If I had one grain of sand for how much I hate you, My universe would be a desert!" She said

"If I had one drop- drop from the sky for how much I hate ya, The Universe would be in a non-terminating Thunderstorm" I reverted.

"We need to find our way out dumbo. Follow behind."

She made a swift turn

"Keep that flower, It will enhance your.....Love" She partially giggled.

"Do you like this place better than your house sire?? Wanna settle down I suppose??" She called from a distance and off I went.

Oh, How much I hate her.
