Widow: Poison Or Nectar?

There was a girl named Mania. When she was only 8 years old, her father Rohan died. However, her mother Sima managed their livelihood by doing a job. As days goes on, Mania becomes a well matured girl and she is now 15 years old. Every day she noticed her mother sima secretly wearing mangalsutra in his hand and sindoor under his hair. One day she thought of asking her mother that why she used to wear all these because her father was no more. 

Then on her 16th birthday she asked sima about these. But sima scolded her and gave no answer. On Friday afternoon, while returning home from school Mania saw her mother outside a hospital. She asked sima what was she doing outside the hospital. Sima tried to avoid her and asked her how was your day at school? Mania replied "Nice". Mania once again repeated her question, finally sima answered that she was waiting for her friend whose son was in hospital. The next day, Mania got a letter that her father is alive and if she wanted to see her father rohan she has to come to the hospital. Mania visited the hospital but she found noone there. There she saw her mother secretly visiting someone but mania couldn't see that person.

The next day on Sunday, Mania started following her mother. She saw her her mother hugging a ward boy in hospital. When her mother returned home she asked her about this her mother told that the guy Soham is your step father. After the death of your father I was lonely at that time I met soham. I love soham, we secretly got married. But in front of society, I am a widow they wouldn't accept me if I get married. So I have kept my relationship with soham as a secret.

Mania said what is wrong with this relationship, anyone can marry anyone as per his/her wish. Religion, caste, these all doesn't matter. When a girl marries she left her own house and settles in her in laws house. In that house only his husband is there who understand her feelings. After the death of that husband how can a lady manage spend his whole life alone, that life is like mountain. Why widows are not allowed to remarry? This is wrong. They should have right to spend their life on their own terms. Mom don't worry I will make you married with soham in front of me and in front of society. And I accept soham as my father. 

There are also some parts of societies, where widows are not allowed to remarry and even not allowed in the works of marriage. Widows are treated as if they are poison, what they touch it is treated as Omnious. Here mania is so strong and brave that she challenges the society against this evil in their mind.
