Why Don't You Go Away?

I ask, 'Why do you care for me, when you don't love me?'

He smiles. 

I ask, 'Why do you look deep in my eyes, when you don't want to be in them forever?'

He still smiles. 

I ask, 'Why are you even here, when you don't want me to be your partner in this journey of life?'

He still smiles the same. 

Some tears reach my cheeks. 

I ask, 'Why don't you just go away

He keeps my finger on my lips and says, 

''We were friends first. We are and we will be."

It touches me and I stay silent. 

He continues, 

'I am taking care of you though I unknowingly hurt you deep. I will give you your space, but I will even be there if you need someone to talk and release yourself.

We are good friends first, you better remember that!

And you are a wonderful woman, don't judge that because of this ever.'

He walks away with a smile. 

I look at the sky, let the tears flow freely over my cheeks. 

I then, feel a motivation to heal up.
