How many of us wake up in the morning and say, "wish I was Alia Bhat, Deepika Padukone, Shahrukh Khan, Salman etc “, we dream of a zero figure like Kareena, or 6 abs like Sharukh khan. 90% answer will be yes I do , the celebrity syndrome has swept the youngsters off their feet and all they dream of or what to be is a celebrity.

Much of today’s society seems obsessed on what actors/actress, athletes, and music artist are wearing, eating, who they are marrying, dating, where they are vacationing, what affairs they are having or have had, and how they live their everyday lives

The perks of illimitable wealth, vacationing all over the world, housekeepers, chefs, being in receipt of freebies from designers, multiple homes in diverse parts of the world, chauffeurs, the finest foods, and all the other perks that come with being a celebrity.

Celebrities have become a central point in our lives and by continuously aping them , pretending to be like them we tend to forget our own lives. We idolize them, follow their every move and treat them as modern day demo gods. Today celebrities have become synonymous with cynosure which doesn’t mean an attention seeking hotshot willing to go any lengths for fame and money. Instead it is a person who becomes the Centre of our admiration and attention due to their brilliance. Our modern day obsession with celebrities raises the question between respect for content or celebrity.

Talented individuals become famous when they create a personal brand which is not talent but the ability to swivel heads, spark gossip, create uproar on page 3.Living out our own dreams, giving up our own interests and goals in life we try to change and mold ourselves into them by acting and imitating and dressing like them.

We all have a favorite celebrity we like and follow them from time to time, but when does mere admiration for a celebrity stop and gives way to adoration? Is it possible to be obsessed with someone you have never met? The answer is “YES” Celebrity worship is a type of “parasocial” relationship where a person can become captivated with one or more celebrities to such an extent that worship becomes as obsession where they begin to believe they are related to the celebrity.

Do they all sound attractive? Sure they do, to those of us who want to live the fabulous life. The question is do we want the downfalls that come with fame? Is he wrong, in the eyes of God, yes, but do we have the right to judge him?

Trying to compete with the celebrities and trying to reach their limelight and lifestyle is like trying to reach the skies when actually we should be grounded to earth . Each one of us is a celebrity in themselves, let that come out and shine , remember “Life keeps throwing me stones and I keep finding the diamonds..”
