Unusual Tinder Date

Unusual Tinder Date

Tinder date. Yes, it was a tinder date. Tinder is for hookups and flings, right? Well, it was the same for me as well. I never knew that I would join tinder any day, but I did. I never knew that I would judge people by looking at some of their pictures and a few lines about them which they clearly had boasted, but I did.

Yes, I did a right swipe. Surprisingly or not, I am not sure, but I was already swiped by him and we matched instantly. I initiated the conversation, no not by those cheesy pickup lines but by our common interests and we chatted day and night. After 3-4 days of chatting, he wanted to meet me or probably take me out on a date. I agreed instantly without giving it a second thought. It was just a date, nothing serious, at least this was what I thought. I had just one thing clear, that this is no hookup.

We met at a nice place and he got me a rose (just a date formality) and I got him his favorite chocolate. He was dressed in formals and looked like a gentleman and I was in my pretty little dress. His looks were nothing extraordinary but there was something undefinably attractive about his smile. We went to a nice place and had some great food.

"Do you drink", he asked.

"Depends on the person and the occasion", I replied. "Well, by now I assume that you liked my company. Why don't you come to my place? We will grab some drinks and hear some songs. What say?"

"Sounds like a plan. I hope I don't get wasted", I replied jokingly.

We headed to his place. His place was beautifully done in spite of the fact that he was living all on his own. Suddenly, I became a small kid admiring his pretty place. We had some wine and we were still in our senses. Old 90s music was playing in the background and we were singing along and talking in between. I loved the fact that we didn't exchange numbers and never felt the need to do so. He was still smiling and I couldn't control but stare at his lips, or rather his smile.

"I have a feeling that we should kiss", I said.

"Is it a good feeling or a bad feeling?", he asked.

I was a bit amazed by his question and that expression was clearly visible on my face. I looked at him and moved an inch closer to his lips, still not touching them. I couldn't answer his question. Our lips were only a bit apart from each other. I could feel his breath. He didn't move backward and started speaking.

He said, "come closer when you get a good feeling and maybe at that time the kiss would be perfect."

We stayed like that for so long that I forgot that I was just staring at his lips. Realisation struck me and I had to return to my home. I returned with the heavy feeling and a thought that we almost kissed. Also, his last words were playing in my head that, "I know no you will get a good feeling soon. So until next time, take care."
