Trusting God For Everything 

So if you know me or follow me you know that I am a big believer. You also know that I have been through hell and back. I have hit rock bottom twice and that I have an incredible testimony.
You also know that 15 years ago I found my church. As God does, he has jokes and I got here from a co worker who didn't even talk to me for months that we worked together but one day I came in after hitting rock bottom my second time and I was listening to my favorite gospel singer Johnathan Nelson and she spoke to me and said that's my praise leader you should come to my church and see him perform. God got jokes but he also knew what he was doing when he placed me here. 

Over the years I have seen the love that my church has. They helped pack me and move me. They gave money to church members when they were sick. They prayed for people with stage 4 cancer who survived. When the government shut down they helped them. Just recently when Spirit Airlines closed they paid our members bills to help them out until they found new jobs. 

My Bishop teaches us to give and you shall receive and I've seen it time and time again in my own life and in others. Today we thought it was going to be a regular Sunday but God had other plans. A woman came up to the Bishop and gave him 500.00 to bless someone and God spoke to him to ask if there was anyone homeless there.

There was silence but then someone cried out. He brought her on stage and she told her story. She had lost her job and it was months before she found a new one. But she was faithful and gave the 300.00 offering the church had asked for 3 weeks ago. In that time she lost her home and today our church The Faith Center came together as a family to all give her money and help her to find a new place. This is what Jesus talked about: helping your neighbors, sharing what you have, being kind and compassionate. Knowing that there before the grace of God goes I. This is what all of us should be doing. 

So today my friends remember we are here to be a blessing to others. We are the light. And for all the talk about “Mega churches” I am here to tell you that our church no matter how big is a family. A family that helps each other and I am so proud and blessed to be part of this family.
