My love for the snow-capped mountains started in childhood. But hardly I knew that the travelling experience from Delhi to Srinagar will lead to a lifetime of love. The first step outside the airport was not just mesmerising but the fresh air left me spellbound.

Being an artist you are drawn naturally to the beauty around you. And an artist is awestruck with the bounties of nature. All frozen white blanket of snow spread wide and made everything look serene and pure. I had gone to appear for an interview and my heart skipped a beat to see heaven. I was completely taken away by the royal beauty of nature.

Tha cab driver knew immediately that I was under the spell of this nature’s magic and couldn’t help looking outside the cab. I stopped near the road and got a few pics clicked and just one wish I asked. I want to be here, in this place which is home now. I’m here for two years heading a school and feel a connection with this place. I travel from Pahalgam (where I work) to Srinagar airport to catch the flight but the journey between is always memorable. I feel as if I’m reliving the magical moment again and I fall in love with the place again and again.
