Trapped In The Past

"Now relax Mr.Smith and focus on my voice. I'll be slowly taking you back to your past life, one step at a time. Remember to relax and if at any moment you feel overwhelmed, you can ask me to stop. Are you ready?"

"Um yes", replied a visibly nervous gentleman in his thirties. He had been coming to Dr. Geller for a while now. He was extremely claustrophobic and had some unexplained trust issues. Given that he was married recently, it wasn't really going well for him.

Dr. Geller began the hypnotherapy, made sure the man was relaxed and then asked him to describe what he saw. 

"I see a ship. I'm the commanding officer of the ship. I have been traveling on the ship for several months now. It's the day we'll be finally docking at a port. It's going to be South of Greece. I have heard so much about Greek food; the salads and the exotic wine! A few hours later, I get off the ship and hit the first bar I see. A beautiful young lady comes to take my order and introduces herself. She's a college student named Elizabeth and works here part-time to earn some extra bucks. The economy is slow and not many people seem to be visiting the island. She's rather shy at first but slowly we get to know each other. 

She brings me the salad I had ordered. I absolutely love it! I don't know if it's the alcohol or fatigue but I begin to feel dizzy. I collapse to the ground. The next thing I know when I open my eyes is I'm trapped inside something. I cry for help but my screams are muffled by something above me. There's barely any place to move. I'm paralyzed with fear. I realize most of my clothes have been taken, my wallet gone.

 I don't realize until much later that I'm in a coffin. I feel like I'm being lowered into the ground. They're right there. I'm being buried alive! This is a crazy doctor, this is crazy!! You have to help me."

"I'm going to get you back from the hypnosis and you'll be safe and sound. Keep listening to my voice."

Mr.Smith jumps out of the chair. He leaves the doctor's fees and storms out of the clinic. He reaches into a pocket to find a name flashing on his phone's screen. It's his wife, Elizabeth calling.
