I was a very carefree person with no aim in life and more or less, I could be given as an example of a rudderless ship floating in the midst of an ocean. After graduating out of my college, as I had no aim in life, I didn’t even know what to do next in life and so spent my days indulging in social media. I met my love, Babli through the platform and she became my first inspiration.

She made me understand how important responsibilities are and to get married, I needed to accept the responsibilities that come in a person’s life after marriage. So, the first step I took was to give an interview in a multinational company and started the journey of taking up responsibilities in my life. The basic needs for survival and starting my family life was accomplished.

However, as I was a fickle-minded person, I kept on switching jobs in multi-national companies at the same level without any interest in growing in my professional career though I happened to be one of the top performers in whatever work was assigned to me. Then, I met one of my bosses in my current organization, Dipak Sir.

Firstly, he made me realize how important it is to stick to an organization to grow in a professional career because once you are tenured at a career level, only then can you apply for a promotion to the next level. Secondly, I realized the importance of maintaining the right balance between a person’s professional and family life. The journey of growth in my professional career started with this realization. #NEWYOU

With the journey of growth in my professional career, the responsibilities come with people management, getting the best work out from other people and also have the expertise of data management and presentation skills. Work pressure started to play its game and I was becoming numb - the proverb followed, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.

One of my bosses in my current organization, Kaushik Sir became my next role model at this point in time. I was deeply inspired by his immense expertize at work – data management, presentation skills, and people management (a complete package that every organization would love to have). Again, he is an excellent guitarist and music happens to be the best medicine to combat work stress. Soon, I understood that I needed to be him.

I started listening and practicing music again which I almost forgot for two years which helped me easily combat work stress. People management started to become easier with the new lively me. Also, I understood the importance of learning new things at work to improve my skills with data management and presentation. I started to transform as an individual and several awards in my professional career followed. #NEWYOU
