You held my hand with a promise of a rollercoaster ride.

I grasped at them, with the thought of a journey of a lifetime.

You told me you love me!

I heard you say that you want me!

You were the explorer, wandering off into the woods.

Talking with the wind and making the sand dance, to the tunes of your feet.

I felt you by my side, clutching my hand and walking on the grass on a moonlit night.

You were the flame, the burning grace of salvation.

I mistook the chandelier to be that of a candle.

The aureola blinded me, I couldn’t see.

I was too busy to notice, that you swayed in blissful ecstasy

You told me to live, but I was afraid of death.

The thought of severance fooled me to believe, that it would be done and dusted by the time the ride ended, and I couldn’t bear it.

So I tried my best to push the cart, as far as my heart would stretch.

Instead, I wish, oh how I wish! I could go back in time and dance with you in a transient frenzy, with not a thought about the world, or not a thought of time.

But then again, if we ever cross paths and if I could freeze in time.

I will dance to the tunes of the charmer on the beating drums of rhyme.
