Those were the days…………

Those days will never come back…….

Childhood is the period that will never come back but you can cherish those memories for life long.

Parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, uncle-aunty, friends and school is the only world. no worries and no tensions just joy and fun . Going to school in the morning with siblings, cousins and friends from the neighbourhood, study there and come back home and relax and do homework . as soon as it is evening get ready to go out and play games. School vacation times were jam and butter on it.afternoon time is for indoor games like ludo , cards and many more such games.

Small girls like to play with their favourite dolls and with their kitchen utensils because if you observe girls, they always have a tendency to grow faster and like to imitate their mother and want to do all that a mother does. Like dressing up, wear sari by a dupatta , do makeup. Boys have their different games or playing those games from outside by teasing girls and complaining parents that elder brother/sister is not allowing us in their teams and all…….

When little grown-ups say 8 years and above then no gender difference , boys and girls used to play together. and the games that we have played in our childhood are slowly getting vanished, at least in cities. It was more of physical activity whereas nowadays it has taken the place of exercise to the mind . like video games n all, which is quite individual but when you go out and play games in a group it is not just playing or physical exercise but it is about team games, learning about losing and winning the games which prepare you for the future. it is about caring for friends if someone is not well or have some injury that too by falling while playing is excused from running. and it is all about falling and getting up and again start the game.

Also as teenagers, our first lesson of preparing food is also with friends collectively. Everyone will bring different ingredients or part of all ingredients that are required for the menu we have decided collectively . and elders are allowed to give us instructions or share the recipe, taste our food but are not allowed to interfere or participate in our program that is a strict instruction given to them. Then once the food is prepared, eat it in a group and do all the cleaning. Everyone is given the duty of their part of work. it was all fun and long-lasting memories.

But as we enter into higher classes and have to do lots of studies, board exams and all we have to put a stop to all these childhood games slowly……but memories remains and also the lessons that we learn are useful throughout of our life.
