Chapter 1: Welcome To the dark…

“A Happy life’s dream went in vain,

As people made their lives insane,

You wonder who I am, dictating this story in pain,

________, I am called, you will know me, once we go down the memory lane.”

“War Time! Troops get ready! At the count of three, 3….2….1…. FIRE!!” is yet heard in those dusty trails of our country, Andstein’s history. Each time I flip those sorrowful pages back, I hear cries of all those small, new orphans, whispers of seniors trying to say their last words, screams of men being tortured and loud ‘Shot’ sound which must have killed end number of soldiers. I can smell those rotten bodies, of people, soldiers and their revengeful blood. I see watery beds in all those mothers’ eyes, who must have lost their progeny, and the worse is that amidst so much mourning I see, anger, hatred, jealousy and the will to kill their own kind.

My world is divided into halves, one as I said, Andstein and another, their bitter enemies, Walginkong. I always regretted on the fact that, somethings are meant to, but they never change, this contemporary world is yet the same, with no hope of love and unity is far away at miles.

When I tried referring books and I even asked other philosophers, the cause of this uprising, the only reason they gave me, was that, people carried ahead the hatred, malice and biases that their ascendants initially had for each other.

15 years have passed, and I yet interrogate ‘Why’?

And here it starts…

“This, is the final war, we have to create powerful ammunitions, to beat Walginkong at any cost. And then we the people of Andstein, will rule the whole world! Just waiting to see the corpse of Mr. Simpson, the president of Walginkong!” saying this Mr. Richard, the president of Andstein, stood there with dreaming eyes. And in the Department of Nuclear Projects and Ammunition Carriers, he commanded, “I want the ‘Padora Bombs’ ready tonight, tomorrow in front of the press, I am going to reveal this weapon, and show our citizens, the power of Andstein!!”

The government had an intention of conquering the whole world, from a very long time. But except a couple of people, all were with the decision of attacking Walginkong and lay their hands off, from compassion.

“Breaking News!!”, was the only sound echoing around the country. “For those who don’t know, ‘Padora Bombs’ are made using a powerful radioactive element, whose rays can pass through human bodies, mutate their genes and deform their progeny. It also contains a rare, special material, which raises the temperature of any object in its contact and eventually burns it down.”, yelled, the news reporter. Ironically, people appreciated this act of the same government, which was just blind in greed of power and wealth. Tons and tons of money was spent for killing people, instead of saving someone’s life…

Someone truly said, “What goes around, comes back around…”. The power of karma was seen again, according to the Spy Agents, Walginkong was in planning of a big attack, and they had created a strong weapon too. On further reports and a few assumptions, it came out that they had created “War robots”, since they were better in technology. Those robots could strengthen their troops 10 times more. This enraged the opposition. In spite of knowing about the deadly weapons of their enemies, and the fact that many lives were at stake, they decided to attack anyway.

Mr. Richard, was planning to execute his device within a week, but Mr. Simpson, aspiring to win as well, attacked Andstein, the next night itself. Unexpected by ANDSTEIN, the situation starts becoming more and more critical, leading to fueling of a well preserved, flame of jealousy.

The powerful war robots crushed into the cities of ANDSTEIN, taking away thousands of lives, for the only cause of victory. But Mr. Richard couldn’t withstand his defeat, and ordered, “Troops fire!!” and the dreadful, 'Padora Bombs' were thrown ruthlessly at their human foes. The next day, Mr. Richard sent his troops to Walginkong and caused destruction there too.

People, feeling safe at their houses, were not, the armies had set all the shelters, monuments, hospitals on fire. They tortured men and made them slaves, they snatched away the children, and harassed the old, just for an unknown reason.

On the other hand, in Walginkong, the nuclear effects were so hard, that people suffered from deformities, and severe diseases and the rest just burnt down to ashes. The sudden increase in temperature there, was the symbol, of destruction and human extinction. Curing people died, all medicines failed, skeletons were there all around, and as a final ritual, life collected their ashes.

 In Andstein, the heavy robots, crushed the people to death, buildings collapsed, and the rivers woke up by the strong resonance of the strong warriors.

The tragic attacks were so devastating for both the countries, but yet this was just the starting, and they welcomed themselves into the Dark!!!
