The bus was about to start its journey when three young guys came running from behind shouting at the top of their voices to stay back for a while. The driver applied the brakes and all of them rushed in. One of them was limping and the two others were helping to get into a vacant seat. That one was the only vacant one and the rest were occupied by passengers of various types and ages. However, no one took notice of the fact that the other two young lads were also injured and bleeding. Some kind of brawl, as familiar sights these days. The exuberance of youth sometimes goes beyond all accepted norms. An old man sitting adjacent to the limping young boy curiously asked him, "what happened to you young man?" The boy didn't say anything, kept looking at the other two with grit and conviction wrote on his face that he wished to kill the two of them.

One of the other two boys was having an earphone plugged to his ears as if he didn't intend to hear anything but the music. The last boy was crying and both his eyes were filled with tears. Several drops of tears were rolling down his cheeks despite his serious efforts to control the emotions by closing his eyes or looking at a distant land far far away.

At the next stop, two police personnel suddenly came into the bus and dragged all three of them out of the bus. They all resisted but finally gave away. The bus moved ahead of the place on its way.

The next day the news spread all over the city. The boy who was crying so passionately was in love with a girl who was the cousin of the boy who stood with the earphone plugged to his ears. The boy who sat silently was the muted negotiator who had received maximum blows while trying to settle the issue amicably. Consequently, he was made the state witness and the lover boy and the cousin of the girl were accused of various criminal charges. The case is under trial and the two of them are in judicial custody. The limping saint visits the two other monks regularly in the gaol these days and tries to settle the matter out of the court.
