Chapter 1: Introduction

Aahana is a spoilt girl, but it’s not her parent’s fault. It’s because of the friend circle she is in. Her friends are spoilt and their habits are also bad. Aahana finds herself and her friends cool. But her neighbor Aarohi is the exact opposite. She is disciplined and her friends are good too. She is smart and confident, but Aahana is over-confident. Aahana’s parents are fed up with her and her habits. So, they treat Aarohi like their daughter. This makes Aahana Jealous. Aarohi’s father passed away when she was 3 years old. Her mother Mitali raised her alone. Both Aahana and Aarohi are of the same age, 18 but Aahana is richer than Aarohi.

Chapter 2: Get together

The Varmas and Kashyaps one day plan a get-together. Aahana wears a black and red top and blue jeans. She then wears a cheap choker and bracelet. Her mother doesn’t like it and gives her, her own choker. Aahana doesn’t like it.

Aahana: Mamma, do you think I am a baby now? Leave me alone!

Tara: No dear, I just want you to look good!

Aahana: So, you say that I look bad!?

Tara: I am fed up with you!

Aahana: Me too! Now please leave me alone!

Tara does not like her behavior. She tells this to Ashish.

Ashish: I cannot do anything dear. She has gone out of our hands!

Tara: Hmm. Let’s go now.

All 3 go to the planned venue.

At the Kashyaps place…

Aarohi wears a cute frock and a matching bracelet but she doesn’t have any pendant nor her mother has.

Aarohi: Mamma, how do I look?

Mitali: Very beautiful! I am sorry that I do not have any pendant that you can wear.

Aarohi: It's ok mamma. You have raised me alone. That’s more than enough for me.

Mitali: Thank you, dear. Let’s leave.

Both of them go to the venue.

At the hotel…

Aahana is continuously on the phone. She doesn’t even bother that Aarohi has come.

Aarohi: Hi uncle aunty! How are you?

Tara, Ashish: We are great dear. How are you?

Aarohi: I am fine too!

Aarohi: Hi Aahana! How are you?

Aahana: Hi.

Tara: (whispers) Aahana, leave the phone and say hello to aunty.

Aahana: Hi Aunty.

Mitali: Hi beta. How are studies going on?

Aahana: (Bangs the phone on the table) Studies? Ha-ha!

Ashish: Aahana, stop this nonsense.

Aahana: Daddy, if you think this is nonsense, I am leaving!

Ashish: Then leave!

Aahana storms out and calls a rickshaw and goes home. She then calls all her friends, home and they all party.

There at the hotel, Tara notices that Aarohi does not have a pendant. But she does not say anything. 

After Tara and Ashish come home…

Tara: Aahana!!

Aahana: What mom?!

Tara: Come here right now!

Aahana’s mother tells her to send all her friends back home and clean the house. Aahana becomes angry but she tells her friends to go home and cleans the house.

Aahana: (Bangs the door) They still think I am a baby!

Ashish: Shut up!

Chapter 3: The sapphire pendant

It's Aarohi’s birthday today, but there is no party.

Tara: Ashish, It’s Aarohi’s birthday today.

Ashish: Hmm, but what should we gift her?

Tara: A pendant maybe? She has no pendant.

Ashish: Sounds good.

Tara and Ashish go to the jewelry store.

Tara does not find any good pendant there.

Ashish: Tara! See that one!

Tara: It's beautiful! What’s the cost?

Jeweler: 33,000 rupees.

Tara: Ashish, she is like our daughter, our own daughter does not respect us. I think we should buy this.

Ashish: You are right.

Ashish and Tara buy the pendant. The beautiful sapphire pendant!

They wrap it beautifully and then ring Aarohi’s doorbell.

Aarohi: Uncle, Aunty! Please come in!

Mitali: Hi Tara! Hi Ashish!

Tara: Hi Mitali. We came here to wish our dear daughter Aarohi!

Aarohi: Aww! Thank you so much!

Ashish and Tara: (while giving the gift) HAPPY BIRTHDAY AAROHI!

Aarohi: (while taking the gift) Thank you!! But what about Aahana?

Ashish: Let it be. You open it!

Aarohi opens the gift.

Aarohi: WOW! It's SO BEAUTIFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Tara: You are welcome dear!

Aarohi: But how did you know that I do not have a pendant?!

Tara: Ha- Ha! I guessed it!

Ashish: Shall we leave then Tara?

Tara: yeah!

Aarohi wears the pendant and uploads it on Instagram. She mentions Tara and Ashish in the post.

Aahana sees the post and goes home:

Aahana: MOM, DAD! Who is your daughter?!

Tara: You.

Aahana: (shows the phone) Then who is this?

Ashish: Aarohi!

Tara: You told us that you are not a baby so we did not gift anything to you!

Aahana: I did not expect this!

Tara: Me too, that day!

Aahana goes into her room and cries.

Chapter 4: The strong gemstone

The other day Aahana has a plan, she decides too…

Aahana: Mom, I am sorry. I am going to Aarohi’s place and wishing her a belated happy birthday.

Tara: Oh ok!

Aahana goes to Aarohi’s place and says..

Aahana: Hey Aarohi! Belated Happy Birthday dear!

Aarohi: Thanks!

Aahana: Umhmm… Can you show the pendant that mom dad gave you?

Aarohi: Yeah, sure one minute.

Aarohi goes to her bedroom and brings the pendant.

Aarohi: See…

Aahana: Wow it's so beautiful! Where is Mitali Aunty?

Aarohi: Mom has gone to her friend’s place.

Aahana starts fake coughing…

Aarohi: Oh! Let me bring some water for you.

Aahana then quickly puts a fake sapphire pendant in that box and takes the real one with her…

After drinking water, she leaves…

Aahana: Hahaha… Let me break it now!!!

Aahana breaks the chain but the gemstone doesn’t break. She throws it in the well near her.

Aarohi finds it out that it was a fake sapphire and immediately goes to her mother…

Mitali: Oh, dear it's ok!

Aarohi cries and cries all day while the strong gemstone is still in the water.
