The Rains Have Come...

Dear Lipi,

How are you? I hope you are fine.

I don't know if you know or not but I miss you every day. There hasn't been a day which has gone without thinking about you. Yesterday, when I felt the cold soft breeze coming from the window, it brought back some old memories. It made me go back to the days when you used to run out of the house the moment you would the dark clouds. You would stand out and feel the breeze touching your body and your soul. Then when there would be thunder and lightning, you would scream out of fear and come and hug me tightly. And when it would start raining, you would stand near the window enjoying the fragrance of the fresh wet mud. Do you still remember, how you used to drag me out of the house to dance in the rain? I would join you after much hesitation and dance with you. We would come back and laugh loudly seeing our drenched selves. How can I forget our Pakoda parties combined with our favorite retro music playing in the music system? The next morning, if it won't be raining, we used to go out for a walk enjoying the whole scenery which looked as if it had been freshly painted with green colors. Do you know what I loved the most about rainy days?

Your paintings and poems inspired by the beauties of nature. Do you still write?

But now, there is no one to dance in the rain. No one to have Pakoda parties with. No one to go out for a walk to enjoy the after rain scenery and no one to enjoy the rain with.

The rains have come, but when will you come BETA?

Yours,

MAMA
