The Permanent Caretakers

A middle-aged couple was struggling to cope up with the decision of having a child or not. They were missing not having a child but at the same time, they were not quite ready for a child either. They saw people having kids were so busy taking care of their children. They described the parents of young children as Permanent Caretakers. They had decided to not have children because they didn't want to be The Permanent Caretakers.

One day they went to see their friend who was not well. They were surprised to see that she was playing with her daughter even when she was not well and that she was very happy because of the child. This is when they realized the other side of being a parent and realized that it is actually good to have someone for whom they can be The Permanent Caretakers.
