The Most Amazing Journey

Usually, when students leave school they take memories, fun, laughter, and photos. However, I never had any such thing in particular to remember or to take with me as part of my whole life. Instead, I left me in school mentally.

Every student has dreams of pursuing a stream of their choice to make their parents proud. Even I had a dream to make my own choices, but being an introvert I could not speak freely to anyone about his or her opinion. I just nodded my head and agreed to each and everything that happened to me or around me.

I was an introvert in my school-age until the first half of the 10th standard. However, there comes a situation where everyone has to fight for themselves and their self-respect. One fine day I was stuck in a situation where I had no one to support me and that day I stood up for myself and started fighting for my self- respect and argued with the wrong ones. The last half of the 10th standard completely changed me as a person, as a student and moreover, it gave me a sense of responsibility as a teenager where most of us forget the word 'responsibility'.

At an age when students started dreaming of their careers, I started to fight for myself and make the way for me to stand up all alone when there would be no one to help me out.

I never had many memories of school that I could remember through life and share and laugh with my friends but I changed myself from an introvert to an extrovert. This perhaps was the hardest thing for anyone to do, that too at an age where you are under pressure of getting top scores for college admissions and meeting of family expectations.

On the last day of school, I realized that I was more mature than others of my age. I was able to handle things alone and had the capability of making anyone a friend by being an extrovert.

That's the most amazing journey I ever had in my life.
