There was a fifteen-year-old girl named Shalini. She was a student of class ix studying in one of the branded schools of Gurugram in Haryana. One day she asked her mother to arrange for the tuition class of History and French. Her mother talked to one of her friends and was guided by her to contact the lady tutor living in the nearby society. That is how the girl Shalini started taking her tuition classes. Shalini was a quiet girl but very intelligent. On the other hand, the tutor was a good psychologist and very intelligent. She could read the mind of others very easily.
Everyday both used to sit together for one-and-a-half-hour class to discuss the subject. Shalini started taking interest in History which she considered to be boring. The reason was the tutor’s style of teaching was different from others. During these classes the tutor noticed that there was something that made Shalini so quiet. She started sharing some personal experiences of meditation and visions she used to get sometimes. This provoked Shalini to open with her in the class. Now both were friends and shared their secrets. And that’s what the teacher wanted. She knew that Shalini belonged to a rich Jat family but she wanted to know as to why Shalini was not like other girls of her age. Slowly the tutor started digging the information of her family. At the end she concluded that her family did not believe in spirits and visions etc. Her father was educated and was a builder and used to be very busy in his work. He never had time to sit with children. Her mother was a home maker but was busy in taking care of her own parents as Shalini’s only maternal uncle was murdered two years back. Shalini’s mother was quite rich from her maternal side and was the only one left to get the property later on.
By now Shalini started trusting her tutor after listening a lot about the visions. One day while sharing the secrets, Shalini started crying. Now it was the shocking moment for the teacher when on having asked the reason she came up with a horrifying story. She told her tutor that sometimes late evenings an invisible intruder scared her when she is alone in her room. She could hear the weird voices and became freezed sometimes due to fear. Even if she wanted to shout for help, she could not do so. She thought that its nothing but due to her delusion. Now the teacher could understand the situation and promised to help her. She advised Shalini to be calm and to do certain changes in her room. She followed everything she was advised to do without letting her parents know about it. One day the teacher asked Shalini to be confident and prepared her to talk with the invisible force or spirit. The tutor wanted to know the reason as to why he or she was doing all that. Shalini followed the instructions and was shocked to find the result. Next day after the class was over and she was waiting for the driver for her pick-up, she narrated the incident that she had recognized the invisible intruder. She informed the tutor that he was none but her own maternal uncle who got murdered. He wanted to convey her something but due to fear she was unable to catch the words.
This time the teacher advised her to keep the notebook and pencil or pen ready on her bed for the next incident to take place. She was asked to sketch down whatever she would see. Shalini was very close to her uncle when he was alive. That might have been the reason that he chose her to be the medium. Now after knowing the identity of the invisible force, she gained some confidence and strength to face the spirit. After a gap of three days, he appeared again. Shalini/s body was not in her controlled but she could remember the instruction of making sketch of the figure. She gained all her strength and made the sketch of what was shown to her by the force. Shalini knew very well that she made the sketch but she could feel that something was making her do that. After it was over, she was so scared that she went straight to her mother and told her everything. She also mentioned that her teacher was helping her to come out of it. She did not tell her father as he would not believe in that. Now the mother got alert and started co-relating all the events of her brother’s murder. A case was also filed in the court against her cousin brother who was the second partner in the business. The mother started worrying about her daughter’s safety. She took the sketches and contacted the teacher without her daughter’s knowledge. She showed that to the teacher. She told the tutor that her brother’s dead body was found in the car near Azad Market in Delhi. Till then no clue of his death was found except that he had consumed liquor. The teacher looked at the sketches and closed her eyes. Then she told Shalini’s mother that the road showed in the drawing was of a flyover leading from Naraina to Mayapuri. And under the Mayapuri flyover there were factories and trucks standing there. And at the isolated place behind that, there seemed to be a shed having five chairs and a table. At that place her brother was forced to drink and after he got drunk, he was tied against the chair. Then all the associates hit him and left him in his car near Azad Market. The police considered it to be an accident due to drinking.
The teacher said that as his final rites are not performed, he could not go to his heavenly abode. Through his niece, he was trying to convey the message. The mother was shocked after hearing all this and told her that she had spent ten thousand rupees and took the service of a priest. On this the teacher advised her to go to Pehowa, a place near Kurukshetra for offering her tributes and for his soul to rest in peace. She left along with her own mother after two days on the day called Amavasya in India for the final rites. After completing this they came back home. Since then nothing happened with Shalini and her parents started believing in the existence of spirits and the mediums through whom they convey their message. The mother thanked the teacher for saving her daughter from this.
