The Lost Girl - Lily
The Lost Girl - Lily
The Mega Trade Fair had started, and it was the first day!! Every year my mother and I visited this fair. Under a small umbrella, I saw a sweet little child in flowery pink frock, her tiny toes within shiny pink shoes, her chubby cheeks and OfCourse a pink hairband with a bow on her head. She was so tempting that I could not resist meeting her. Since mother was busy admiring the stoles on one of the stalls, I went to her. As I went near, I saw tears rolling down her cheeks. In a low voice I asked her "What happened, why are you crying?". Mournfully she told me that her mother and she had come to the trade fair, her mother told to wait for her near the kid's area. As a child, she was curious to see the adult's section. Roaming around all the fair hall, she had arrived back at this point to the kid's area. I wiped her tears and promised to find her mother. To hear this, satisfaction could be seen on her face by me. I held her hand and went to the reception and requested the receptionist to make an announcement stating that a girl named "Lily" was in search of her mother "Madhuri" who had told her to wait in the kid's area. Running and tensed came her mother towards the reception. I asked lily if she was her mother. She smiled and her dimples glanced on her face and said 'yes'! excitingly. She ran to her mother and tightly hugged her. Lily and her mother, Madhuri thanked me a lot. The relief and smile on the daughter and mother's face, made me feel really proud on myself. I went and told my mother the way I escorted lily. She was really proud of me as I helped a sweet little daughter to get back to her mother. The relationship between a mother and a daughter is extremely precious which we cherish throughout our lives! So never take your mother for granted, because mothers and god's gift to us!
