The Little Things

The bell rang at 3:15 pm and the chaos in all the classrooms could be sensed from the gates of the school. All the children packed there bag and ran quickly. Only two people were left in the classroom - Palak and Sahil. Palak was slowly packing her bag but Sahil was waiting for her. He was standing behind Palak, so slowly he began taking steps towards her.

He came and stood in front of her and the gloomy face of palak was clearly evident to him. She took her bag and started walking. They both were walking silently and suddenly

Sahil broke the silence "Areeyyy.. Palak tum kuch bhul gyi!" Sahil quickly looked at Palak and asked kya? He replied.."Your smile..!!"

She looked at him and said I am very sad you saw right, how hard she slapped me. This is my first time i was never beaten by a teacher and here Palak drops a tear and started crying. Sahil looked at her with tensed face and said arey Palak toh tum ro kyun rhi ho? Woh toh sabko marti hain... so stop crying and if next time she will hit you tell her my name okay? No wayy... mujhe aur jorse maar nahi khaani. Palak replied. "Ayee.. don't underestimate the power of common man.." Sahil said imitating SRK.. trying to make her smile.

"Accha Listen to me today I got a new flavour of rasna, take my bottle and drink it." Sahil said. She was taking a sip and meanwhile Sahil started singing a song around her.

Soch zara jane jaa 

tujhko hum kitna chahte hain...

rote hain hum bhi agar teri aankho mein 

aasoo aate hain... 🎶

Palak instantly looked at him and said.

Gaana toh aata nhi hain magar... 

phir bhi hum gaate hai... 

and they both started laughing. They both went home smiling.

Love lies in little things and it always finds its way. In the era of casual dating, hookups, and instant breakups Sahil and Palak were like vintage frame, hard to find and should be preserved at all cost.

We all have problems which definitely can't be solved by a sip of rasna or a song but a person like Sahil who is ready to protect you and make you laugh is definitely a blessing in today's world. Sometimes maybe they don't know the comforting words but you will still find solace in them.
