The Last Scary Days Of Uncle

It was around 4.30 PM when Ria got the call from that patient uncle. He told that he will reach Chennai airport and asked me to come and get him and to help reach the CMC Hospital. He came along with his younger brother who doesn’t know any language other than Manipuri.

She reached airport soon and they were waiting for him. She was surprised at his condition. The colour of his body was fully yellowish. His eyes were yellow too. All his skin looked yellow. I found out that it was because of some kidney problem. All the poisons of the body are mixing with the blood and making it yellow in colour.

We reached CMC hospital and the doctor met us. He told us that it’s really serious and there is a need for major open surgery. But they have to wait at least for a month for the surgery as there are already many people waiting for surgery. At the same time, he also told that he may not survive more than 20 days without that operation.

She was shocked and very scared. She was thinking to go to another hospital but that night......

But that night, he started vomiting blood. We were in nearby hotel. It was around 1:00 AM. He woke us up and complained of stomach pain. He first passed motion with blood. He passed urine which had blood as well. So scared, we don’t know what to do. The other uncle ran outside to call for an ambulance and get help.

He keeps on vomiting blood. Seems like he is not able to breathe properly. He starts taking long breath. His mouth is all blood. She tried to clean blood over his mouth with a handkerchief.

Suddenly he slightly smiles and says – My time has come, I want to die at least in my home. How would my wife be and my family?

She was shocked to hear that and her eyes filled up with tears and she told him – please don’t say that. Everything will be all right. Uncle has gone to get doctors and an ambulance. Everything will be all right.

He said that – “No, I know my time has come. I can see the bad spirit (ghost) coming to take my soul around here. I have seen it since this morning in the room. I didn’t tell you all because you all may get scared and afraid. Even now there is a HEAD without body on the top of the television just right there".

She was trembling. She turned fast to look at the TV. She didn’t see anything on top. But she could feel like there is something around them. Her hair stood up and she was frightened to death. Even then she cried and said – “Why are you saying like that, I see nothing on TV. It’s just your imagination and you will be fine. Please don’t worry. Everything will be fine".

Again he said, taking a long breath – “Can’t you see stupid? It is right there on the top of the TV. It is even smiling at me. Just a head is there, with large wide open eyes”.

She was again dead scared and looked again towards the TV. This time, she really saw a monster head without a body looking angrily at her. It had long teeth, wide open red eyes, and hair like thick threads. It is just like she had seen in some horror movies. She shouted out loud, "Ahhhhhhhhh”, at that moment and it just disappeared. She knew that now he will surely die. Maybe she will also die after him. At that moment, she heard the uncle who had gone out to call for help. He was calling them outside. They could hear the sound of an ambulance. She knew that he has come along with the ambulance and a doctor. She responded to him and ran outside. When she reached outside, she found no one, no uncle, no ambulance. It was around 1.30 AM. She panicked that something wrong is going to happen inside. She rushed inside the room again and found the old uncle lying with blood all over his mouth. It seems he vomited once again. She called him, but he did not respond. She moved his body, still no reaction. She knew that the ghost had taken his soul. She shouted angrily – “How dare you! Come in front of me! Why are you doing like this to him? Come and fight with me if you can! You ghost, I will kill you!”

She got no response.

Hearing her shout, person from the next room came. He saw the uncle and blood everywhere in the room, on the bed and all around. Thats when, the other uncle really came back with the ambulance and a nurse. He too was shocked to see this condition.

Later, he also said that he had seen that same head when leaving to call for the ambulance.
