Alice and Diana are twin sisters living in Kashmir. Martha and Jon were their parents. Their parents were well educated and affluent, and they had high expectations from their children. Alice was the younger child. She was always quiet and stayed aloof. She kept herself busy with her own work. On the other hand Diana, the elder one had completely opposite personality. She loved the company of her friends and never liked to be alone. You would always find her accompanied by a bunch of people. Diana, even though a little naughty, studied at the last moment and was able to score good marks. Whereas Alice was not able to concentrate on her studies. She tried to make friends, however, it was not working out. The kids were somehow not friendly with her which bothered her a lot. Even Diana would not talk much with Alice and just did not care how her sister Alice feels.

Just a week before their tenth grade was about to begin, all the kids were excited to get new books, stationery and meet up with their friends after the vacation. At the same time, they were also tensed about their studies in the tenth grade. Alice too wanted to make new friends this year. The only issue was that Alice's parents did not know the real reason behind her being alone. They thought it was Alice's own choice. Alice got bullied in school because neither she had friends nor did she score good marks. It is not that Alice did not score well in the past. She was smart and her teachers put her in the smart children's batch due to that. But nobody knew the reason for the drastic change in Alice and her performance at school.

Martha and Jon were really worried about their daughter. They were tensed about Alice's future. So both of them decided to talk to Alice. Alice was coming back from her guitar classes. As soon as she reached home, her parents asked her to freshen up and join them in the living room. Her parents enquired if Alice had any issues in the school or anywhere else. Alice shook her head and said no. They asked if she thought there was something that is affecting her studies. Again, Alice did not have any response. Her parents were perplexed with her answers and asked her to think and share anything that bothers her frequently. Alice thought for a while and then said, "Yes, Mom and Dad, I think there is something which keeps me from studying better".

Both the parents were now anxious. Alice told her parents the truth about the issue of not having friends. Martha and Jon felt bad for not being able to sense the issue earlier. Now that they know they started to think of a possible solution.

The next day, Martha and Jon discussed Alice that not having friends in the school or nobody liking you should not make a difference, because her parents are with her. They made Alice believe that they will always be with her and will help her with everything. And assured her that she will find some good friends soon.

Later, Alice's pre boards had started. She had suddenly started scoring good marks. As time passed, she had become the topper of her school. Diana was shocked by this change. She spoke to her parents to ask about the change in her sister. Her parents replied that they have done nothing special. Diana wanted to know what her parents have done. She later realised that they had done nothing but reassured Alice not to worry about friends and being liked by other but focus on her goals. She was determined to score good marks and had stopped caring about the world.

In the board exam, Alice scored the highest in her school. Diana also scored well and was in the top 10 students. Diana learned from this that it is only parents are who are always with you and will support you even whether you score well in school or not. No matter what, our parents are always with us. They love their children not for what they achieve but for what they are. For parents, their children are the best in the world.
