The Intermediate
Sofia is a soft spoken girl with good qualities and different skills. She is a single child to her parents. She is always a good student from childhood, excelled in academics and co-curricular activities. She won many prizes in school level as well as district level competitions.
When she was in 10th grade, a dangerous virus i. e covid was spread and she missed the chance of having a formal board exam and schooling during that helpless period. She had attempted NTSE ( National Talent Search Examination) after the lockdown was cancelled. She never went through such competitive exams, even then within a span of 45 days she managed to get 106 marks out of 200 by self preparation and taking online classes. It's not that good score to get scholarship.
But, she was never disappointed and participated in many online competitions, exhibited her talents and won prizes. Her family, friends and relatives appreciated her. She also took some tests related to UPSC during that period. The actual reason is her dream is to become a civil servant.
After some days, results of 10th were out , she secured 10CGPA , but she wasn't happy as there was no actual examination. She knows how hard she had worked during her schooling just to see her photo on a hoarding with top marks. But when people said many people got 10CGPA , there is no value for those marks, her heart was broken. Because she knew that her school management and teachers gave her 600/600 , only for her in the entire strength of 50 students. But people consider it as waste.
As she couldn't prove her, she was upset , but her parents encouraged her that she has another chance to prove i. e INTERMEDIATE ( 1& 2). So she started to know the courses that are available after 10th . She was not that interested in mathematics , so she didn't want to choose MPC. She is also afraid of surgeries, so she didn't take BIPC .
She always wanted to try something new, but there is no one to guide her and understand her. Everyone suggested her to take MPC , so that she can do engineering and then prepare for civils, as most of the civil aspirants and rankers are engineer graduates.
Though her brain started to take it , her heart didn't.
Did she take MPC or any other courses which will be helpful for civils preparation?
