Ohh my hands are freezing, when I am trying to narrate this holy Land!!

I am one of the luckiest person to spent my childhood over there though I belong to the costal part of Odisha..

In my words if you want to see heaven, throw your footsteps in this district during winter!! It's blissful!! 

The place is meaningful to me because it is the part of the state which I loved the most and more importantly it's the part of the state where I grew up and is part of my childhood.

I grew up in one of the many thatched houses of a small tribal village, admiring from the kitchen window the beauty of mountains and always exploring with my eyes the forest or the Meadows.

A banyan tree!! Big!! Very big!! Near the mountain, I used to seat beneath it. Watch the mountain..there were flowers, many kinds, white, yellow, purple and blue. It was nobody's place. Nobody owned that hill but it was beautiful and peaceful and I dreamt many times about a White House over there.

I never hesitated to meet the tribal people over there, in fact, all my childhood friends are of Koraput tribe itself. I can still remember the names and used to tell my father. I had celebrated and enjoyed tribal festivals more than the coastal belt festivals. Still it stimulates me when I remember the festivals like Mandei and Bali.  

This place is truly nature's blessing. The majestic Duduma waterfall and the local primitive Bondas, a must-see place. Jeypore, the royal city of Koraput having the second-highest Jagannath temple of odisha after Puri. Sabar Srikhetra, Kolab river of Koraput increases its beauty. The holy shrine Siva lingam, Gupteswar is the most visited pilgrim spot. 

Despite known as a tribal district, it represents proudly many navaratna companies like HAL and NALCO.

I will always miss this place and if life permits will visit this place again and again.
