The Hack

Shibu placed a gentle hand on Saira's shoulder. Saira wiped her tears and straightened up. "We have just 5 minutes. Enter this password" Shibu said. "I am not sure" Saira replied. "What!" Shibu exclaimed. "I mean, I don't know if there is another level of security that we that we did not decode." She said in a mumble. "How likely is that?" Shibu asked. "I don't know, but I cannot rule out that possibility." She replied. 

"We would only know that once we enter the password, right?" Shibu asked with a slight jeer. "No!" Saira said loudly. She continued "We have only one attempt to make. If it goes wrong, he would get a notification. He would change his password and do what he can, to secure his account, or he might just remove the information we are looking for. We would hit a dead-end if we don't get it right in the first attempt; even if Anant gives it to someone else" There was a minute of silence after this. 

"Let's give it to Anant," both of them said at once. They sprang up to take a run to Dr. Anant's office. Saira briefly explained to Anant the process by which they had got the password. She then placed a leather box on Anant's table. Anant opened the box. He picked up the silicon caps one by one gently and wore them on each of his fingers. He then picked up the smaller box inside the leather box. He turned its little handle down and it flipped open. He picked up the lens that was in it and carefully placed them in his eyes with delicate tongs. Then without a word, he entered the password Saira had projected in front of him. He double-checked it, while Saira and Shibu also looked hard to double-check it. He moved his hand slowly and hit on the login button. Saira and Shibu clasped each other's hands tightly. In a flash, the account opened up showing the contents of the emails and messages. Saira and Shibu breathed out a heavy breath that they had held up all this while. Dr. Anant looked up towards them and gave a soft smile. "Good job, thank you, you may leave now," he said. Saira and Shibu expressed in a chorus an emphatic "Thank you Anant" and walked proudly out of his office. 

As soon as they exited his office, Saira said to Shibu "what do you think is in that mail?" Shibu still looking straight said "I don't know" "Are you not curious?" she asked. "I am," Shibu said, turning towards her. They looked at each other wide-eyed and wondered. Saira broke the gaze and said, "anyway, tell me, how did you crack the password?" Shibu looked away and said with a chuckle "I just guessed it"
