The Golden Land

Once upon a time, there was a golden land. People living there were very happy. They had whatever was required for a good living. Big mountains were guarding the north, sea waves were protecting the south. Rivers made the soil rich and fertile. People from all places wanted to visit this golden land once in their lifetime. 

But whoever came here got stuck with the magic of this land and never left it. Saints came from different lands and did sadhana for an unknown period of time in the lap of nature. This land was rich in knowledge as well as resources. Saints sat in the rough mountains, farmers settled near rivers, and wild hunters settled near forests. This land fulfilled everyone's desire. That's why it was known as the Golden Land.

People from different land came here and settled down. They shared their culture and adapted to this land's tradition too. With time the name of this land changed. But it never lost its charm. Once who came here, never felt leaving it. This land became the amalgamation of different languages and cultures.

Today it is known as India, the land of unity in diversity.
