The Dream – Part 1
Written by Kingson Das

It was around 7:30 in the evening.
KK Mall — one of Mumbai’s biggest and most famous malls — was alive with laughter.
Families shopped, children played in the gaming zone, and a crowd admired the glass showroom full of rare vintage cars and bikes.

Outside the mall, a white van stopped.
Ten armed people stepped out — a group of terrorists led by a man named Huzaifa.
With him were Abdullah, Hasan, Adnan, Kareem, Khalil, Saleem, Armaan, Rahim, and Fatima.

Without warning, they shot the guards and stormed inside.
Screams filled the air as people ran, but within minutes, everyone was forced into the main hall.

Huzaifa’s eyes fell on a young woman — Zara, about 21 — standing with her grandmother.
The old woman begged him to let her go, but he dragged Zara away into a room.

On the road nearby, three friends — Rohit, Aniket, and Farhan — were heading toward KK Mall, laughing and joking.
When they arrived, they noticed the guards were missing, and there was blood on the ground.
They moved forward cautiously.

At the entrance, Rahim stood with a gun.
As he aimed, Aniket ducked, Rohit rushed forward and punched him, and Farhan kicked him hard from the side.
Aniket grabbed Rahim’s AK-47 and fired, killing him instantly.

The noise alerted the other terrorists — but Huzaifa, still in the back room, heard nothing.
A fierce fight broke out. One by one, the gang was taken down.
When it was over, only Huzaifa and Fatima were alive.

The friends tied Fatima to ensure the safety of the people.
At that moment, Zara’s grandmother cried out to Aniket, “My granddaughter is inside! Please save her!”

Aniket ran inside alone, while Farhan and Rohit stayed to guard the hall.
But Rohit’s eyes kept drifting toward Fatima — she was strikingly beautiful.
Noticing this, Fatima asked to go to the washroom.

Inside, she moved closer to Rohit, as if to kiss him… but instead, she snatched his pistol and shot him once in the chest.

Hearing the gunshot, Aniket and Farhan rushed in.
Aniket told Farhan, “You save the girl — I’ll handle this.”

But Aniket had a problem: if he saw blood on someone close to him, he lost control.
Seeing Rohit wounded, rage took over. He fired ten bullets into Fatima’s face.

Then, unable to stop, he stormed into the hall and killed several more people.
By now, someone in the mall had called the police.

Farhan was fighting Huzaifa in the back room.
After a struggle, he rescued Zara and brought her out — only to see Aniket still in a frenzy.

The police arrived, but in his rage, Aniket shot down four or five officers before Farhan managed to calm him.
When Aniket came back to his senses, he was horrified.
“What… what did I just do?” he whispered.

By then, photos of Aniket, Rohit, and Farhan had leaked.
The police recognized them instantly — they were already wanted criminals, famous for a major robbery in Las Vegas two years ago.

Knowing they had to escape before more police arrived, the three friends grabbed a 1969 Mustang from the showroom and sped away.

On the road, Farhan said, “All good now.”

“All good? We only took one car,” Aniket replied.

Rohit smirked. “The rest were moved out last night — only this one was left. That’s why we took the risk.”

Aniket frowned. “Who planned all this?”

Rohit grinned. “Me.”

Farhan added with a laugh, “And the terrorists? Arranged by me.”

They all laughed as the city lights faded behind them.
Part 1 ends.
