The Cup Of Tea

Jia was surrounded by her gang when someone tapped her from behind.

As she turned back the stranger said, 'Hi, I am Amrita, it's my 1st day at the campus. I heard about your super cool group, how do I join it, she asked with the sparks in her eyes.

Jia gave her the look, laughed, and said "Dude, how on earth you thought you could join the elite group of the campus. By appearance, you seem to fit in the four walls of the library.

She left that place with tears in her eyes.

Beta, you look sad, what happened, how was the 1st day of your college. I know it's a new city for you, but it's just a matter of time, her grandmother said.

Granny, I guess am just the wrong fit, I'll never fit in, she said.

Why fit in, when you can stand out, Granny asked?

She continued beta, don't waste your finite time and heart trying to convince the people who aren't your people. Your paths are different, politely wave them and move ahead with people who would love to be part of your journey.

She handed her a cup of tea and said "You are not their cup of tea and they are not yours!!

Amrita could now relate to what her granny was trying to tell her.

She gave her a big hug and said: " Thank you, Granny, for the hot cup of tea and the most needed reminder. Love you.
