The COVID-19 Pandemic (Part 1)
The COVID-19 Pandemic (Part 1)
Note: We all know that everyone must have faced certain difficulties during the COVID-19 Pandemic. And here, I am going to share my experience and imagination through a story.
It was the 3rd lockdown going and Sara was very much fed up of staying at home for months. She missed her friends, school teachers and the weekend trip which she used to go together with her family on Saturday and Sunday. Now, as we all know that the online classes were going on at that time and we also used to get bored while seeing the laptop for the whole day. But, Sara always learnt something new which she had never tried before.
Her parents also had difficulties during the lockdown due to their office jobs. Sometimes, she used to just sit and watch TV or maybe she learnt to cook and to do some household chores. She learnt new languages and read many different types of books.
One day, her parents went out for a job emergency and she was alone in the house. Her parents told her not to open the door and just watch TV or read few books. After saying this, they went to the office.
After 2 hours, someone rang the bell. She quickly went to see who was it and saw that it was a delivery boy, she remembered her parent's words and did not open the door. After waiting for 2-3 minutes, the delivery boy kept the parcel near the door and went. Sara called her parents and told them all what happened now. Her parents told her to wait for 5 minutes and then open the door to take the parcel inside.
After 5 minutes she opened the door, sanitised and opened the parcel. What a surprise! It was a gift from her parents to Sara. And do you know what was it? It was a smart watch! She was very happy and called her parents right away. She thanked them for this wonderful gift they had given to her. Later, she used it everyday when she went to play or go for shopping in the mall, etc.
After the lockdown was over, one sunny day, the family went for a picnic at Juhu Chowpatty. There were coconut trees lined side by side near the beach. It looked really very beautiful and was an awesome place to visit. They all played with each other and enjoyed too! As it was a place where many people come to visit, there was a lot of crowd at the beach.
Wherever they used to go, they had to wear a mask and it was very irritating especially for Sara as she was not able to breathe the fresh air easily. The crowd was so much that the family had to hold their hands with each other. But, somehow Sara was lost in the crowd. Her parents tried to find her but alas, they couldn't.
Stay tuned for the next half...
